Howdy

So I haven't posted in ages and I have been taking some flack for it so I decided to write something for all of you to read. Update on school: I'm almost done. So close in fact that I can actually taste that diploma. Finally right? Also work is going very well. I am in Nashville right now and I love this city. It seems that every time I go visit one of my friends in the city, I love that city. I don't know if it is the city or the fact that my friends are there. It's hard to say. But Nashville is great and there are really bad drivers here. I'm under the understanding that the license getting process here involves standing in line and getting your license. No driver's ed or test taking for these people. Horrible idea. They have no concept of turn signals and what they might even be used for. I am writing this post because a friend of mine asked me to write something for him to read. I told him I was going to use his name but he asked me not too. So I won't use his name but this friend of mine who happens to live in Cuba knows who he is. So here you go brother in Cuba. Read up. Drink it in. Soak it up. That's all the phrases I can come up with for enjoy. There isn't much here but I posted and can I add "better late than never", seeing as how this request was made weeks ago. Right now Brian is at class and I am waiting for him to get out so we can go get Hope and grab some lunch. I am thinking about going and getting some coffee from across the street at Bongo Java. Tasty stuff. Ok well I'm done writing now so all of you who read this take it easy and I love you all... 

Toast...

So this is not important in any way... I just wanted to share something that I thought was hilarious... Last night a friend of mine and I spent the night at some friends' house... They told us that when they got home for lunch, we better have some food for them... well about 11 roles around and we wonder what to go get for lunch... We come up with a brilliant plan... we decide to have a toast buffet... we toasted a whole loaf of bread and put it nicely on a plate and set the table real nice.... we put out some different toast toppings also... I found some snacks and made a snack... medley of sorts... we put out a bowl of sweet pickles, a bowl of gobstoppers, and a multi-vitamin at every place... They got home and I thought for sure they were gonna flip... but they actually sat down and ate from the toast tower... rediculous... I must have laughed for about 5 minutes straight... Anyways this post was totally dumb but i wanted to share this amazing story with everyone... Later guys... and gals...

Whatever

So last night I got back from my Dad's house. I had a lot of fun there. Usually when I go, either my brother or sister or both come along. This time it was relaxing just to hang out with my Dad and Steph. So I think that once I graduate, I would like to do this more often. This post isn't about anything special. Last night Laura texted me and told me to be in at work by 9. Then my Mom calls me last night and asks me to take my brother to work at 8 this morning. So either I had to get up an hour early just to drive down town or my mom had to come into town to take him. So I got up and took him and thought I'd throw up a quick post before work. But I am going to take a shower now. Also, I am on a laptop and I cannot stand it. When I type on it, every time I barely bump the mouse pad area where mouses are on laptops, it moves the curser to a different point on the page. I can't help bumping it. It did it twice just during that last sentence. Whatever.....

School Update

I know I haven't put much up about school lately... I have ben working on it non-stop for the past 2 days... I have gotten through 15 out of 40 lessons and still plowin through... I'll let you guys know when i get done with my 3rd class and then I'll move on the my 4th and final class... Yes!!! Almost done... Later!!!

So it's been like nine years since i have posted. I just wanted to put up something new for everyone to read. Not too much has happened since last time i posted. Not!!!. Wow where to begin? All of my friends came home for Christmas. It was awesome. I spent as much time with them as i possibly could. Also Andrew, Evan, Kyle, Sam and I went on a sweet backpacking trip in Oil Creek State Park in good ol' Pennsylvania. It was amazing. There was about 16 inches of snow on the ground and it got down to around 0 degrees both nights we were out there. Cold!!! I was astonished when we got back to the cars at how easy it is to get warm in society these days. It really made me realise how much i take for granted. The second day we were there we did a 5 mile hike from the first site to the next with our packs. It was exhausting but i am so glad i did it. Also right now i am visiting my Dad in Columbus. It has been cool. I have never been here just by myself so it has been cool and very relaxing. Today i am at my dads office trying to get some school done and i got half a unit done so i decided to check my blog role and write something new. Anyways the past month has been awesome but now everyone is gone back home and it is just Sam Laura and I again. But i love spending time with those guys so its not bad. But i do miss all my other friends. Anyways I'm gonna work on some more school. so later folks. Also i am listening to a metal band right now called As I Lay Dying and if you love metal then you should check em out too... Awesome

Half Way Home

So I am officially half way done with school. I just finished my second class and I am pumped. There is nothing more than that. Actually I did just sign the papers to work at The Encore Cafe. It is going to be amazing. Also Evan gets home tonight. So I guess there was more than just finishing a class. Sweet. Anyways, later!!!

Random...

OK so here's the deal... it is about 5 in the morning on Tuesday and i cannot sleep as usual... there are a couple of problems with this.... one, i have to get up and actually go do some work tomorrow... also i need to get a bunch of school done when i get done with work.... But i just looked out my window and it is snowing and covering up the roads... so even though i cannot sleep i still got to see something that a lot of people didn't get to at 5 am on Tuesday... anyways, i am thinking about trying to sleep some... later peeps...

School Update

So school is going really well... I am well into my second class which means only 2 more to go... i have my third class oredered and it should be on the way... I am going to take classical mythology... sounded kind of interesting and maybe a little fun so i thought why the heck not?... I have already finished my science fiction and mystery class... i ended up with a 93... i am almost done with mass media... i am not doing nearly as well in that class... but as long as i pass it and get the diploma... So thats what is going on with school.... Thanks to everyone who has been encouraging me on this little journey... it means a lot and i am almost done with this crap.... Anywho... i hadnt posted in a while so i decided to at least keep my promise and write an update on the school thing.... even though it may be a little late... Well later ya'll...

Classes

Guess what happened today?... i actually got my classes... i got my books sometime last week but have been unable to log onto and actually view my classes... well today i got on and finally i have them... i am not going to start them today because i didnt get into them until about 2:30... i am going to treat this as a full time job so i am going to be up bright and early tomorrow morning working on the 2 classes i have right now... i am taking all fun classes because i can and i think that will keep me motivated to get it done and pronto... so right now i am taking Science Fiction and Mystery and i am also taking Introduction to Mass Media... these seemed fun to me so i signed up for them first... i will be keeping all 3 of you who read this updated as to my progress.... i want to say thanks to all my friends and family who have been kicking my ass to get this done... thanks guys.... i ll let you know how it going...

It is Freakin Official...

so today i just got a call from my instructional supervisor from Buckeye... guess what that means people... ima graduate here soon... she is going to order two of the four classes that i need to graduate... so as soon as i get my stuff ill start working on it pretty much full time... i was talking to my Dad on Sunday and he gave me a great idea to keep me going at a good pace... he said that since im not working right now to treat school as a full time job... so thats what im planning to do... i will keep you all updated with the progress i am making... also... if you want you can check out my photo blog... im linked to it... there are some ok pictures on there from Nashville... later ya'll

School Update

Today i went in for my meeting with Buckeye...(the school i have been talking to for a few months...) i am so close to starting school... i am basically excepted... they just have to go over my papers really well then they should call me back by the end of the week... then from what i understand, i can order my first class and start finishing up high school... finally!!... i already got a computer from them... so i guess its pretty much official... finally im gonna be done...

Nashville

so here's the dealio... last weekend my friends hope and JP and i packed hopes little ford focus and started the nine hour trek to Nashville, Tennessee... i just realised how much i dislike typing or writing the word Tennessee... i don't know why... anyways, we packed up and drove to see our good friend Brian at Belmont University... it was such a nice trip... we had no plans or expectations and i think that sometimes, that makes for the most fun... spontaneity(not sure if i spelled that right) is the best way to run things sometimes... we left here(northeast Ohio) at around 2 pm... we got there after midnight due to the GPS taking us the wrong way a few times.... like to the ghetto of Cincinnati... i hate typing Cincinnati also... but we ran a bit behind and didn't get there until like 11:45 pm Nashville time... but it was nice to see Brian... also, it was kind of awkward the first night because Brian and hope ended up staying in the car the first night... girls cant be in the dorms after 1 am... and due to the lack of a better place to sleep, they slept in the car... so JP and i stayed in Brian's dorm with his room mate who we just got to meet like 3 hours before... kind of weird... but not too bad.... i think if i were going to go back then i would get a hotel room, not because i found it unbearably awkward but because i felt that i was in the way more then anything... anyways... but ill tell you this... Nashville has some of the best eating i have experienced in a long time.... amazing restaurants with amazing food around every corner.... also there were some awesome coffee shops... i pretty much drink coffee every chance i get so this was awesome to me... Nashville also boasts tons of tourist attractions like parks, stores, and just about anything else you want to see in one weekend... i am going to put some pictures on my photo blog, but i leave a couple on here just to give you an idea of what we did... anyways... i think this might be my current record for writing posts... 2 posts in 2 weeks... and due to my previous post, i seem to have a lot of time on my hands to write posts... so expect more and thanks for reading....

The End of An Era

A most of you who read my blog know i have worked at the Dutch Village Inn doing all kinds of stuff for about 3 and a half years now... i have done everything from buss tables all the way to seal concrete and tons of stuff in between... my friend Laura just got a new job as the manager of a local cafe... well she offered me a job there a few months ago and i gladly accepted... i am just ready for something different, a change of pace, a new era in my life... as the hotel job was my first job ever, i am ready and excited about starting something new which is still in the conctruction phase... so i get to be a part of something not quite but kind of from the start... deffinately from the opening... so on my last day at the hotel yesterday it was kind of bittersweet as i mowed, cleaned the pool, and then clocked out for the last time... the end of my time there... but soon i will have something new and very exciting to be a part of... so needless to say im ready and pretty pumped about starting this new job... later DVI...

Almost There...

For those of you who know me, you all know that i am not exactly... whats the word i'm looking for here?... "Graduated"... ya lets say not exactly graduated... and for those of you who dont know me, there it is... you all now know that im a moron for not applying myself in English class... anywho, i have been trying to get enrolled into a school for a little over a year now and it just seems that no school is really willing to help me... now im 19 and still dont have that sweet piece of paper that says im smart enough to go to college or get a good job... well recently i have been trying and trying and finally had a breakthrough the last few days... today i sent my official sealed transcript to this school and they should receive it tomorrow... Praise Jesus!... i am finally going to get enrolled into a school (hopefully... keep your fingers crossed)... now i can graduate... a.k.a. get my diploma so i dont feel like a dummy anymore... well guys there it is... my first post since like july sometime... im sure none of of you will even notice that its there for about 3 or 4 weeks... i swear ill try to keep up on the posting... i also have a photo blog that i am going to try to put some new pictures on... well thanks for reading this if you do.... there will be more.... i promise... lata playas...

The Last Hurah...

So... a lot has happened since i last posted... but that makes sense, since i haven't posted since march... but i told a couple of people that i would post on friday but i was a little busy with work... as luck would have it i got up fro work this morning and there was a message on my phone that i didn't need to come in... so i thought... what better time to sit down and write a post...

A few weeks ago, the guys from my church and i went backpacking... we didn't go far or even to a place we hadn't been before... we went a few miles and hiked maybe a half a mile into the woods to a site we had camped at before but it held meaning to some of us so we returned again... last year around the same time, maybe a few weeks earlier, we made the same trip with a different group of guys... Sam, Andrew, Evan, and myself went last year... later joined by kyle and his inflatable queen sized air matress... it was treated as a kind of last hurrah for Evan who would be leaving for the navy in a few short weeks... i miss you buddy, sorry this is a couple days late... this year i couldn't tell from anyone else but i kind of felt that it was that last hurrah for Andrew who left and moved to the twin cities on thursday... i mean we hung out and everything after that but i get the feeling that Andrew was treating this as the last big thing he was going to do with the church guys before leaving... now i don't really know where i am going with this other than to say that it was cool to be a part of the last hurrah for my two best friends... and i want to say that i love you guys, and i miss you both... andrew, hope to hear from you this afternoon... evan, good to talk to you the other day buddy... i hope to hear from you both again soon... you guys are my brothers... this post is for you...

The Fall

So as you might know from the previous blog, while at Hocking Hills this past weekend i took an unplanned, unwanted fall towards certain doom... well not really certain doom, more like cold feet, possibly hypothermia at worst... We were all at Old Man's Cave doing some hiking... as with the rest of the spots we hiked, the walkways were mostly ice... we were just crossing a particularly bad spot with some large melting ice blocks overhead so i turned to make sure that Mike and Emma got past this bad spot... well i looked down and i was standing on a downhill slope on solid ice... suddenyl my feet slipped out from underneith and i started the downhill descent towards an icy river...which i might add, after a lot of rain the night before was moving a lot faster than i wanted it to be... so i slid right off the walkway onto an even steeper hill covered in loose soil... well Man VS. Nature being one of my favorite shows, i knew to dig my feet in and grab at some soil... well it turned out that i got stopped about 3 to 4 feet from the river and turned around to see all of the slightly worried looks on my friends' faces... they said the look on my face was one of complete terror... so i climbed back up the hill and continued on with some mud on my jeans... so that was probably my scariest moment of the trip... it added to it though... now i and my friends have this awesome, funny story to tell... and every time i think of it i laugh out loud... LOL... I had a picture that i wanted to put up with this post but it won't let me...sorry.

A Weekend in Hocking Hills

This past weekend i went to hocking hills with the 8 coolest people in the world... we hiked, ate a bunch of awesome food, and had non-stop fun... Hocking Hills is in Southern Ohio in Licking County... the scenery and hiking are amazing... but nothing beats, not even seeing 3 awesome waterfalls, spending time with people you know and love the most... the meals were amazing, the fellowship... i couldn't say in words how much fun i had hanging out with people i already knew well and also getting to know a few people that i didn't know as well... Never in my life has a weekend been so fun and i almost fell into a freezing creek, which was flowing rather rapidly after a good rain the night before...
